FOUNDER
Meet Michael Dinzebach — the founder and designer behind GOOD DAYS NEW YORK. A St. Louis native, Michael’s creativity was first honed in audio engineering and production, where he learned to shape mood and story by layering sounds. His move into fashion began with an internship for recording executive and fashion entrepreneur Damon Dash, and it didn’t take long for him to discover that clothing — like music — could tell a story and connect with people in a deeply personal way.
In 2013, Michael started screen-printing T-shirts in his Brooklyn apartment. When the storefront below his apartment became available, he launched his first brand, Antler & Woods. In 2018, a car accident left Michael with C2 and C3 fractures and he underwent cervical spinal fusion surgery. During recovery he embraced the present moment and realized everyone’s “good day” looks different — whether it’s holding a cup of coffee again, knocking out a morning run, or lounging at the beach with friends.
That perspective inspired a fresh start: Michael created GOOD DAYS NEW YORK and opened the first shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn. He’s collaborated and designed with the Brooklyn Nets, the NBA, Brooklyn Boxing, Daniel Jacobs, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and more — and he continues to channel that storytelling energy into each collection.
Based in Brooklyn, Michael a die-hard fan of his hometown teams — that love for the city’s grit and sports culture often filters into the brand’s vintage-meets-modern spirit. You’ll often find him sketching next season’s pieces, hanging with one of his three pups, or building a creative community around GOOD DAYS.
